ProcureCon Highlights: Over the years Nina has been involved in running round table discussions and consulting on content and format suggestions during the production process.
Procurement has been evolving and I think that ProcureCon has been evolving with it.
We're able to discuss specific subjects, relevant to ourselves, rather than just being in a big room having presentations from companies, which can be interesting but in some cases are very repetitive.
ProcureCon has achieved that over the years, it provides more exchanges, more relevant and niche topics, high quality discussions and the community really appreciates that.
I’ve been participating at ProcureCon in different areas; most recently I have been leading round table discussions. I’ve also been at breakfast briefings and have been also involved in the Women in Procurement Initiative.
The roundtable discussions as well as the breakfast discussions were probably the most valuable activities for me. The quality and the level of interaction are always very intensive and people there are more open to share and discuss their problems because we are in small groups. If you think about it, not everyone wants to express themselves in front of 200 people, but in small group that’s a lot easier and as a result we have a better reaction, with more people keen to speak out.
Being part of this community, you really appreciate the opportunity to visit and re-discuss your challenges, we all have the same issues and challenges, and it’s very helpful to get input from peers on occasions like that.
ProcureCon leads to the right combination of presentation and information exchange, as well as the opportunity for high quality smaller group discussions.
