Here’s How Deutsche Telekom is Attracting More Staff with #Playyourday

To try and bring more technology enthusiasts into the fold Deutsche Telekom has launched a new campaign which lets visitors to its special website play through a choose your own adventure type video.


The campaign was inspired by traditional day in the job videos, but Deutsche Telekom wanted to lift the concept out of the boring classic mould and elevate it to something far more fun – something it hoped would remind people why they fell in love with technology in the first place.

“Believe it or not our research shows that some people think of us as being slow, boring and hierarchical, we just had to set the record straight on that,” said Deutsche Telekom in a blog post. “What better way to show that couldn’t be further from the truth than to give people the opportunity to experiment an authentic day in the job and let them see for themselves what it is really like working with us?”

Once people have played through the video and made their choices, the website suggest roles which may be appealing based on the decisions they made during the adventure and even play some retro games to further remind potential candidates what attracted them to technology.
