One of the best ways companies can fight back against the global talent crisis is to target young people while they are still exploring their career options. This is especially true for sectors which university students may not be so frequently drawn to – such as banking.

This is what has led retail banking giant, Lloyds Bank to develop a new online platform through which graduates can explore career options throughout the organisation. The so-called Virtual HQ has six engaging zones through which graduates can discover career path options, interactive information about life at Lloyds Banking Group and its culture, as well as competing in virtual giveaways and challenges, such as the chance to win Apple prizes by simply visiting all floors.

The Virtual HQ also hosted live seminars designed to inspire young people to find their way in the world on topics such as Women in Tech, Celebrating Diversity, and Discovering Lloyds Banking Group.

“To give students an insight into life at Lloyds Banking Group, we decided we’d offer a Virtual HQ Tour,” said Lloyds Bank. “This tour needed to be interactive, fun, and ultimately give students a clear idea of where a career with Lloyds Banking Group might take them. The Virtual HQ produced phenomenal engagement, far exceeding expectations with over 30,000+ users.”
