Benedict Lannoye

Benedict started his professional career in 1989 at Bombardier Transportation in the site of Bruges.

Benedict has been able to grow his experience and capability in procurement and supply chain through different roles and locations in site procurement, strategic sourcing, procurement processes and tools, regional operational procurement, after market procurement and supply chain. 

Finally, since 2016 he has had the responsibility of CPO for Bombardier Transportation procurement and supply chain and will be a CIPS judge for the awards as well as sharing his Transformation story.

Miguel started his career in Procurement and Supply Chain with General Electric Plastics. He later has worked for Nalco Chemical, Kraft Foods and currently for DuPont, where he has had responsibility for Global Logistics, including procurement, corporate operations and trade compliance for the last 3 years. As part of the Dow – DuPont merger and upcoming split into three independent companies, Miguel is the Chief Procurement Officer for the Specialty Products division. Miguel has lived in Spain, The Netherlands and the USA, together with his wife and two sons. He has a degree in Business Administration, a Master from Universidad Camilo Jose Cela and an MBA from ESERP Business School. He enjoys coaching, mentoring and speaking at universities. Neil has been involved in projects on every continent having joined Shell as an explorer in 1986 and has had the privilege to lead and work with teams including industry-leading Floating LNG (FLNG), LNG and Gas to Liquids (GTL) teams, and most recently a world-class Shell-BG team, planning the successful integration of the largest deal Shell has done since 1907, a game changer for the energy industry. Neil has spent large parts of his career travelling to meet partners, governments, projects teams and the media and works to understand the challenges faced, whether delivering cost-competitive clean energy, building long-tern partnerships or integrating new technology rapidly and safely into projects. Currently, he is focused upon improving contractor safety, building deeper and much more efficient supply chain partnerships and ensuring that Shell's projects and assets are at the leading edge of industry competitiveness (and beyond).

Karen Mansell
Senior Vice President

Karen is member of the Product Supply Committee of the Crop Science Division and the Corporate Procurement Leadership Team, focusing on Crop Science direct material supply and leading on the Business Partnering for Procurement overall for the Monsanto project. She also chairs the Directs Council which focuses on all direct material supply across all Bayer divisions (Animal Health, Consumer Health, Pharmaceuticals and Crop Science). Cath Hill
Group Director

Cath is a member of the CIPS Group leadership team. She joined CIPS in June 2011 and is responsible for a global portfolio that encompasses CIPS’ external facing activity including Marketing and Communications; PR and Representation; Publications and Events, under the CIPS and Supply management brands; and the development of CIPS’ wider communities. Cath has an Executive MBA from Cranfield University School of Management. She has worked in marketing and general management in a number of sectors including financial services and retail. She led the launch marketing strategy of Bluewater, then Europe’s largest retail and leisure destination, and established Scoot as one of the UK’s biggest (and earliest) digital brands. More recently she was responsible for integrated insurance marketing strategies for the likes of M&S, HSBC and RAC. Cath regularly chairs and presents at CIPS events and other conferences, and is a spokesperson for CIPS on topics such as the role procurement has to play in eradicating modern slavery and the need for the profession to raise its game and raise its voice.

Duncan Brock

Duncan Brock is a member of the leadership team of CIPS. His main role is to ensure that CIPS provides its corporate and public sector customers globally with products and services that help them develop and improve their procurement and supply team’s capability. In addition, he is responsible for increasing the number of offices and partners that CIPS has globally, with a particular focus this year on the USA. Duncan has over 30 years procurement experience as a change driver working with senior executives and procurement leadership teams in the design and mobilisation of business-wide procurement processes & delivering improved business benefits. He’s had a specific interest throughout his career on implementing category management and developing the skills and capabilities of procurement teams. His procurement experience comes from working for Ford, Mars, Black & Decker, NTL (now Virgin Media) and RSA. As a senior consultant he worked for QP Group and Future Purchasing with clients such as Diageo, Barclays & Nestlé.

Will Beattie
Head of International Business Development

Currently responsible for business development and partnerships for Central and Eastern Europe including Turkey for the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply, Will is a key figure in the European regional procurement community. Spending much of his time with CPOs and their senior management teams enables Will to capture accurate insights into how they buy workforce solutions and the challenges they face doing so. Will previously worked in senior business development roles at Prenax, Travelex and IQPC.

Mildred Matesan
Strategy & Sourcing Development Manager

Mildred has a unique end-to-end view on procurement operations having worked on strategic projects at Genpact and from 2013 at Ericsson, where she leads projects in the global sourcing office. No stranger to ProcureCon events Mildred has been an active member of the Women in Procurement sessions over the past 18 months and will be leading the Women in Procurement session at Total Talent Management in 2017.

Cathy O’Dowd
Adventurer and Mountaineer

South African mountaineer Cathy O’Dowd is best known as the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest from both sides. Her most significant Himalayan expedition was taking part in a new route on Nanga Parbat, the world’s 9th highest mountain.
Cathy is an internationally acclaimed motivational speaker. On her many Himalayan climbs, she lived the challenge of getting the best out of individuals and teams under intense stress in the face of overwhelming challenge. She has been sharing these insights with her corporate audiences for 20 years, and has spoken in over 40 countries.
