John is responsible for the EMEAI region of Dow Chemical which had a sales revenue of > 10 Bn$ in 2016 and is part of Dow’s worldwide 179 manufacturing site, 35 country manufacturing operation. Joining Dow’s procurement team in 2005, John has lead several initiatives that include, 1/. Acceleration of value from LCCS deployment, 2/. Integration synergies from both the Rohm & Haas acquisition and Dow Corning integration, and 3/. Supplier innovation for early-stage R&D. Prior to Dow’s procurement group - John had 15 years with Dow in e-Commerce, Market Development and Technical Service positions and 5 years with Akzo Nobel in Coatings R&D. All this experience allowed him to publish scientific papers, file patents and launch commercially successful new products and services. He holds a Masters in Science from the University of London and an MBA from the Open University. As a believer in contributing to Continuous Professional Development, John is also the Chairperson of CIPS-Switzerland, the Swiss branch of CIPS, the world’s largest procurement association.

I am Vice President Procurement Europe & MEA for Ecolab since 2013. I have the responsibility for Direct and indirect materials, a portfolio of more than 1.5 Billion of spend, for the Europe & MEA regions. Prior joining the Procurement function, I held different supply chain and business functions for Ecolab.

Johan Larsson has a broad range of experiences in procurement working as sourcing manager for Scania, project manager for Accenture in the Supply Chain Management practice before serving as a senior leader in the process and tools Nordic unit. His current role sees him responsible for purchasing marketing and services for the Volvo Car Group, based in Sweden. An entrepreneur Johan has also been a key member in two start-ups since 1999.

Nick Jenkinson is Senior Director – Procurement & Property for the EMEA Region within Astellas; a Japanese R&D driven global pharmaceutical company. Simeon manages 1bn of spend across global commercial categories at AstraZeneca, including Digital, Print & Market Research. Simeon has had extensive experience in a number of global category lead roles across IT as well as recently leading AstraZeneca’s Operating Model Implementation. Simeon is currently working on strategic initiatives to ensure local teams are working closely with centralized global procurement, and setting up a shared service centre.
Ciaran Owens is a leadership team member of the Imperial Global Procurement function; responsible for the guidance of a global team of 170 procurement professionals. In his capacity of Head of Excellence, he oversees the delivery of three key pillars of procurement portfolio management, functional performance & insights, and upweight capability & engagement, as well as, a responsibility to support business transformational initiatives.
He joined Imperial in 2013, as part of a greenfield management team with a goal to establish a world class procurement function within 5 years, having previously been involved in procurement excellence and the management of indirect services and direct procurement categories for a global organisation.
His procurement journey begun in the automotive sector, where for over 10 years he worked on global sourcing projects, prior to developing his management career in the areas of procurement strategic planning and business transformational programmes on a pan-European scale.
Frank has 25 years experiences in automotive, electronics, hygiene/healthcare and consulting services industries. During this time he builded up and managed purchasing functions as also supply chain, manufacturing and buying large operations on regional and global scope.
He intervenes today in restructuring, distressed and to be improved businesses in various industries aiming at operational excellence with a focus on purchasing.
During his mandates his energy goes into impacting the bottom line as also the top line through innovation, speed to market, new market developments through suppliers.
He also graduated from Karlsruhe University, INSEAD and MIT.
Cath is a member of the CIPS Group leadership team. She joined CIPS in June 2011 and is responsible for a global portfolio that encompasses CIPS’ external facing activity including Marketing and Communications; PR and Representation; Publications and Events, under the CIPS and Supply management brands; and the development of CIPS’ wider communities.
Cath has an Executive MBA from Cranfield University School of Management. She has worked in marketing and general management in a number of sectors including financial services and retail. She led the launch marketing strategy of Bluewater, then Europe’s largest retail and leisure destination, and established Scoot as one of the UK’s biggest (and earliest) digital brands. More recently she was responsible for integrated insurance marketing strategies for the likes of M&S, HSBC and RAC.
Cath regularly chairs and presents at CIPS events and other conferences, and is a spokesperson for CIPS on topics such as the role procurement has to play in eradicating modern slavery and the need for the profession to raise its game and raise its voice.
Currently responsible for business development and partnerships for Central and Eastern Europe including Turkey for the Chartered Institute for Procurement and Supply, Will is a key figure in the European regional procurement community. Spending much of his time with CPOs and their senior management teams enables Will to capture accurate insights into how they buy workforce solutions and the challenges they face doing so.
