Cristina Teodor-Ilie is a seasoned procurement leader with over 15 years of experience shaping strategic sourcing and operational excellence across the banking and real estate sectors. Currently serving as Group Procurement Director at NEPI Rockcastle, Cristina leads cross-functional teams to drive value, efficiency, and innovation across a pan-European portfolio, building dynamic procurement organization rooted in collaboration and long-term impact. Cristina’s expertise spans procurement transformation, supplier relationship management, and organizational integration. She previously led the Central Procurement Department at OTP Bank Romania and contributed to Erste Group’s procurement initiatives at an international level. Notably, she played a pivotal role in the successful integration of Volksbank Romania into Banca Transilvania’s operations following its 2014 acquisition. A strong advocate for professional development and ethical leadership in procurement, Cristina is a longstanding member of CIPS and holds the MCIPS certification. In 2017, she served as Deputy Chair of CIPS Romania. She is also the founder of the Elite Procurement Community—a Romanian non-profit initiative aimed at advancing the procurement profession through collaboration and knowledge sharing. Cristina frequently speaks on procurement transformation journeys, the strategic role of procurement in enabling operations and managing supply chain risk, and the importance of cultivating a continuous learning mindset among procurement professionals. She also explores how fostering a risk-positive culture can fuel innovation in business environments. Her leadership philosophy is guided by the belief that “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication” – Leonardo da Vinci.
