Ciaran Owens is a member of the Global Procurement senior management team, responsible for the guidance of a global team of 160 procurement professionals. In his capacity of Procurement Technology Lead, he is the project leader for digital transformation of Procurement. His responsibilities are to establish a next generation procurement-as-a-service model that is fully harmonized with the end-to-end source to pay process. Enabled by the latest cognitive technology, the vision is to deliver a user centric solution; orchestrated service; and value-in & cost optimized organization. He joined Imperial in 2013, as part of a greenfield management team with a goal to establish a world class procurement function within 5 years, having previously been involved in procurement excellence and the management of indirect services and direct procurement categories for a global organisation.
