Managing Director Future Purchasing

Mark is the managing director of Future Purchasing - a specialist procurement consultancy and educational provider. Since co-founding the company in 2003, Mark has helped more than 50 global businesses to implement category and supplier management and make them core business competencies. Mark has worked with leading global companies in the technology, hotel, media, steel, electronics, transport, telecom, pharmaceutical, fmcg, and financial services sectors as well as the public sector.  Prior to Future Purchasing, the previous 11 years were spent working in consultancy and line roles at Price Waterhouse, Mobil Oil and QP Group. Mark is the co-author of three global reports on category management with Henley Business School - the most recent of which was published in February 2017: “Collaborating for Category Management Success - Bridging the Performance and Value Gap”. The 2018-19 report is currently in the data gathering stage and will have a significant focus on the attitudes and behavioural skills of leading procurement teams.
