Procurement Director Spirit Energy

Nick leads contracting and procurement for Spirit Energy, a leading independent oil and gas company in Europe which produces around 50 million barrels of oil equivalent every year.  Nick’s team manages a significant spend across key areas of the business including capital projects; drilling and exploration; production operations and maintenance, as well as supporting the corporate and indirects requirements of the business.Prior to joining Spirit Energy, Nick held a number of roles with BG Group plc over a 17-year period, based in a number of locations including the UK, Tunisia, Egypt and Australia, managing contracting and procurement activity. In his last role with BG, Nick headed up Supply Chain globally. Prior to BG, Nick held strategic procurement roles in British Airways, National Power and the NHS National Procurement Unit.Spirit Energy was formed as a joint venture between Centrica plc and Stadtwerke Munchen in December 2017, and Nick has been leading the activities necessary to establish an organisation model and approach to contracting and procurement appropriate for the new company.
