Roger Gonourie

Global Head of Sourcing Swiss Re

Roger joined Swiss Re in November 2014 and is responsible for establishing a professional procurement function for the management of Swiss Re's external spend portfolio.  He is a member of the Swiss Re Global Business Solutions Executive Team.  Prior to joining Swiss Re, Roger was with Novartis where he was responsible for creating and managing a newly formed Global category team as part of a broader transformation.  Roger also served as European Procurement Director for Pfizer at their regional headquarters based in the UK leading a team responsible for procurement across the pharma, consumer, animal health and nutrition businesses. In addition, his career spans procurement in retail and transport.  He gained extensive transformation experience in procurement, supply chain and IT, from his 10+ years consulting for Coopers & Lybrand/PwC/IBM and started as a design engineer at Land Rover.
