AXA Embraces Remote Work In Its Global Strategy

02/17/2021

On Jan 19, 2021, AXA announced¹ the extension of its smart working strategy to all of its entities worldwide. The strategy aims to implement a hybrid way of working, which combines remote work and office presence. Each AXA entity will define a smart working strategy in line with its own local conditions, with employees able to work remotely on a voluntary basis for two days a week as a general guide.

The smart work strategy will be applied to organisations within the AXA framework employing over 70% of the group’s employees, by the end of this year. The policy will extend to all AXA markets by 2023.

The transition programme will include change management and training measures, adaptation of work spaces, and the provision of IT equipment for remote working. The scheme reflects the desire of 90% of AXA’s workforce to increase the practice of remote working in the future, and is a testimony to the way that remote work guaranteed operational continuity at the height of the pandemic.
